Heheh, wow! I guess this is what you meant by a slight change of style, yet there are still some familiar elements that are recognizable. ^^ Like, the fur on Sylvana's chest is pretty...furry, but the rest of her has a cartoonish feel. ^^ And the style WAS suitable for a picture such as this, because all the brightness and happiness in this pic kind of suggests using a more cartoonish look, no?

It looks like that happy sun is back again, except he removed that patch of his and got muuch brighter! No wonder the sky is so clear! ;) The clouds look all nice and fluffy, and I see you've been experimenting with those too, as I can see some swirly parts near the edges. ^^ It sort of reminds me of the clouds in Zelda: the Wind Waker.

The setting looks like a very relaxing place; that would definitely be a nice place to have an enjoyable, quiet picnic, or in this case, to bring out a table to eat some chocolately cake! Oh, and about the table. When you first posted this, I noticed that the area where the bird was sitting was tilted quite a bit, but it seems that you managed to fix it. ^^ I couldn't even tell that there was editing after you corrected it, unless you looked very closely. Mind posting a comparison with the "before and after" pictures? Oh, and the table is shaped like a hexagon, but there are only 4 legs. ;P It'll lose it's balance. o.o;

You did a good job with the grass as well. At first I thought you used a brush, but after staring at it some more, you can tell all of them were individually made. Good patience! Some of the grass stands out too, especially the leaves with the light green outline but darkergreenish interior.

With those added animals, it makes the picture a lot more cheerful. ^^ I especially like how you did the bird, with its pink feathers and the adorable neckalce. Yay, more friends for Sylvana! =D The butterfly was a good addition; you gave the flowers sitting there some purpose. The butterfly seems to be quite the big guy; I mean, compare his size with the cake and you'll see what I mean. ;)

And nice detail on the mountain too. I like that river that you added to the right. Makes it look a bit more unique.
Another great picture! ^^ You did a wondrful gift, and if she ever sees it, I'm sure you've made her day! ^^

Hehe, yup, that's what I meant ;3 I like that new style though, soooo I'll be experimenting with all that some more, and see where it takes me ^-^ (and yup, I know :3 I wanted to make her chest all fluffy - I had her all black at first, but that looked boring - now she's a lot more fluffy and pretty to look at too, aaaaat least in my opinion ;3 )

Youuu know, I actually never thought the sun being a 'he' - actually I thought it'd be female, but that's probably because the German word for sun is female and I'm used to that - sooo, for us, the sun basically is a girl X3 Buuut I know, you had no way to find out whether it was a he or a she ;3

Oh, you're totally right about the table - I added a fifth leg, soooo now it looks a lot more balanced, you're right ^-^ And as for the before-and-after drawings, if you like, I can send you the openCanvas event file of the drawing, it stops where I posted the first version of the drawing, just before I downsized it ^^

Aactually, I think the butterfly is just about right, especially comparing it with the mouse and the flowers - Sylvana and the other characters aren't really that tall, after all - if you're standing, they'd probably just reach your hip, more or less ^^

(by the way, did you know that the light-green outline of the leaves is actually a yellow? it's barely visible, I know, but I made it lighter by adding more yellow to the shade of green I had ;3 )

Thanks for your comment and the critique!
