Watch Drawing - Event Files

For the newer drawings, I try to put event files up too, for those who are curious to see how the picture gets drawn - really, it's no magic, and I make heaps of embarrassing mistakes when drawing, undoing many many times, redoing parts because they look weird, and much more ^^;

After drawing a picture in openCanvas, you get the option to save it as "Event File" - that's what I do. These event files you can open in openCanvas - as soon as you open them, they start playing, from the beginning when the picture was started. So, basically, to see them, you need to open them with openCanvas 4 (older versions than openCanvas 3 won't work, even though you can use both versions together just fine) - if you don't have it, don't worry, it's not too difficult to do, just follow these few steps:

  • You can download openCanvas 4 from portalgraphic's website, here: [Link].
    Take the "openCanvas4 Installer" version, you can use the "Plus" version too, it doesn't really matter here.
  • Install it, by opening what you downloaded, clicking "Next" until you finished. You should see a new icon, "openCanvas 4" - click it.
  • After starting, openCanvas wants you to enter a serial key, just click "Start Trial" - it will work fine. openCanvas 4 can be bought, but you don't have to, if you just want to watch event-files.
  • Click "Open" in the "Event" menu - here you can select the event-file you want to watch, and you're all set ^-^

If you have any questions, feel free to let me know, I'll try my best to help you out ^-^

It could be - if you have the trial version and it expired (you can tell if OC says "Trial!" with an exclamation mark in the title bar), it pretty much disables all save features. What you can do is either buy the full version if you like it, or look around if you can still find openCanvas 1.1b somewhere (be wary what sites you download from) - not only that one was still free, it also allows you to draw together with your friends, which none of the new versions can ^^

Ooops, sorry! I forgot that they brought out openCanvas 4 in the meantime, so apparently they ask for the key if someone still wants to download the old version.

Anyhow, try this one: [Link] - it should work just fine ^-^

Let me know if I can be of more help to you ^^
