Hiya, I am pretty sure you need to be subscribed to devArt's "premium membership" to use skins and include pictures in your journal. Look at this FAQ entry, which gives a full list of what their premium membership gives you.

Aww, that's too bad. It works fine for me, so sending me a bug report with what you're trying to do and what's happening might help. You can find a good guide as to how to write one on this website. Once you wrote it, either post it somewhere, or use my contact form. :3
