Colouring Pages - Random Kangaroo
(by Tobias, Mar 9, 2006)
Nooothing much, just a little picture of a kangaroo, faaaar far out in the bushes, hopping around and waving at her visitors ^-^

(even though I'm by no means an expert for 'roos, so I hope the anatomy is about right and everything ;3 )

Anyhow, enjoy ^-^

This picture is part of the colouring pages here, for you to print out and to colour. Please give me credit for the lineart if you publish this image, even if you coloured it (such as, if you're submitting it somewhere to the internet). For any commercial use, please contact me for permission ^^

All pictures you see in the colouring pages gallery should be at 150dpi, so to get a printout of the size the picture originally was, try setting your printing software to that resolution (though it'll also look fine at other sizes ^^).

To print this image, click the "Print Image" link just below the image - you'll get a new window that has just the picture in it, and nothing else. From there, you can use your browser's print function to print the drawing (usually "Print" in the "File" menu). If your browser offers a "Print Preview" feature, be sure to use it and play around with the orientation - some drawings look better on landscape. Of course, you can also right-click to save the image, and then open it with your favourite imaging software, which will very likely give a much better print quality.

Oh, the anatomy doesn't look very bad. It's very well done, in fact, especially the legs. It's probably just me, but I find it hard to notice a kangaroo's pouch if nothing is riding in it (like this one), so it would be perfect if the pouch lines were somewhat less opaque. ^^ It's just a sketch, so that doesn't matter.

(Whoa, only female kangaroos have pouches? Wow, I guess you learn something new every day. o.o; )

Hehe, yush, you're right ^-^ Though from what I know, kangaroos can tighten and relax their pouches, but it'd make little sense not to have it all tight when noone's in there :3 My only excuse is that in these drawings I slightly exaggerate the features of a distinct species, like the pouches for kangaroos - you're absolutely right though, thank you a lot for telling me, it's very much appreciated <3

(yush yush, only females .. they use it to nurse and carry their little joeys in there, males kiiiind of don't have a use for it X3 )

Oh, there's nothing wrong with a little exaggeration. X3 It's what makes art so exciting, no? You can just mess around with a picture to get a look that you're satisfied with.

(I'm sure males could do the same, too...I think. ;P Well, maybe it's because they're out hunting for something that there's no time to take care of someone. That's just a guess, though. XD )

Oh, I'm all happy with it ^^ It's something I'll pay attention to in future, siince you're definitely right ;3

(Yush, that's true, they could, but the little joeys are in the pouch when they're still embryos, so that's another reason they have it :3)
